Aviation... 
remnant of a shortwave currently moving over southeast Texas...mainly 
bringing just some middle/high clouds. Radar has gone quiet at the 
moment. Trends out west show some MVFR ceilings developing as the 
higher deck moves off to the east and generally trended 6z tafs 
that way. Upper trough should be pushing overhead during the day sun 
then off to the east by evening. At the llvls...models generally show 
some drier air being transported in from the Gulf during the afternoon 
hours. So despite daytime heating and upper trough...decided to 
keep probability of precipitation out of the tafs but do expect some isolated cells 
around. Better chances should be north of the metropolitan areas. 
Otherwise...clearing out during the evening. 47

Previous discussion... /issued 946 PM CDT Sat may 25 2013/ 
scattered showers and thunderstorms continue this evening across 
our northwestern counties while activity to our southwest near 
Victoria has finally dissipated. Our northern and northeastern 
counties will likely see the best chances for rain through the 
overnight hours as they lie close to the right entrance region of 
a very weak upper speed maximum centered near Shreveport. Further to 
our west convection continues along the dryline across the Texas and 
OK panhandles but the shortwave moving south of The Big Bend 
region has become more elongated and is looking less likely to 
initiate any development that might affect our region overnight. 
Will keep trends close to previous forecast this evening with 
highest probability of precipitation across our northern counties through Sunday and only 
slight chances elsewhere. 38
