Discussion... 
at 08z...an outflow boundary over southwest Texas continues to 
spur on thunderstorms and rain. This system is propagating to the E-se...but 
otherwise there are no other discernible surface boundaries across the 
state. At 850 mb...there are two distinct moisture channels with 
the first moisture axis extending from kcrp to ksjt and the second 
axis extends from klch to koun. An 850 mb high pressure system is 
just off to the east centered over west central Mississippi. The 
high is stronger than prognosticated yesterday. At 700 mb...there is a 
weak shortwave between kdrt and kcrp and this feature is moving east. 
The weakness at 500 mb has transitioned to more of an open wave 
and now extends from east of kdfw to klrd. This feature coupled 
with the shortwave at 700 should provide enough lift to get scattered 
rain showers/thunderstorms and rain going again today. Not much in the way of upper level 
support so feel rain showers/thunderstorms and rain will remain scattered and not get too 
organized. The 500-300 mb layer trough axis will move east of the 
region between 18-21z so feel the best chance for precipitation will be 
through the early afternoon with conds drying out quickly by evening. 


Upper level ridging starts to build into the area from the 
southwest on Monday with warm temperatures and partly cloudy 
skies. The ridge will amplify as an upper level trough over the 
Pacific digs toward The Four Corners region. The ridge looks to 
remain strong enough to shunt the trough well to the north of southeast 
Texas. That said...the flow aloft should be out of the southwest and a 
series of weak upper level disturbances will bring additional 
cloud cover and a slight chance of rain showers/thunderstorms and rain Wed-Fri. The 
additional cloud should neutralize the building heights so did not 
show much day to day temperature change through the end of next 
week. 43

Marine... 
the surface high pressure ridge located across the northern Gulf of 
Mexico will keep southeasterly winds place through the week. The 
pressure gradient tightens up over the early and middle part of the 
week...and at least caution conditions are likely each night between 
Monday night and Thursday night.
