Today's topic is boating under the influence. The effects of alcohol
and drugs are just as hazardous on the water as on land. Boating
under the influence... or bui... affects judgment... vision... balance
and coordination. These impairments can increase the risk of being
involved in a boating accident... for both passengers and boat
operators. Alcohol is a contributing factor in about a third of all
recreational boating fatalities. It is illegal in every state to
operate any boat or watercraft while under the influence of alcohol
or drugs.

main concern this issuance remains timing and location of 
convection across the region today. 


Scattered convection developing just east of the Interstate 35 
corridor to our west and also to our north near a line from bkd- 
ftw-position in the vicinity of a nearly stationary surface boundary. 
Only activity in southeast Texas at the moment is near cxo but am 
expecting coverage to increase across the northern half of the 
region over the next couple of hours. Short term models have 
activity developing and moving rather quickly to the north so 
will carry thunderstorms in the vicinity through 00-02z for now at sites iah and northward. 
Otherwise expect scattered low clouds overnight with perhaps a brief 
MVFR ceiling towards daybreak on Saturday. 38
