Synopsis
A stationary frontal boundary located just off of the southeast Louisiana and Mississippi coasts will become diffuse today. Weak high pressure will prevail across the coastal waters Monday and Tuesday with generally light winds and flat seas forecast. Hurricane Ike...currently located in the vicinity of the southeastern Bahamas...is forecast to enter the southeast Gulf of Mexico late Tuesday or early Wednesday and move west northwest into the central Gulf Thursday.
