Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
An old frontal boundary will drift north across the waters Sunday as high pressure shifts east across the Mississippi River valley. This will provide isolated showers and thunderstorms on Sunday with a persistent moderate onshore flow through mid week. A weak tropical wave will move mainly south of the region around mid week leading to a slight increase in showers and thunderstorms again Tuesday and Wednesday. Hurricane Ike is expected to move into the eastern Gulf around mid week. High swells from this system are expected to begin arriving by Thursday.
