Marine Weather

Forecast as of 3:53 am CST on November 7, 2009
Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
Seas will increase over the coastal waters as east to northeasterly winds increase through the remainder of the weekend as an area of low pressure approaches the western Gulf of Mexico. An upper level disturbance will then move into south Texas on Sunday providing a chance of showers and thunderstorms over the coastal zones. The upper low will move east by Monday...ending the chances for precipitation. Tropical Storm Ida will move into the southern Gulf of Mexico on Monday...and into the central Gulf on Tuesday... moving toward the northern Gulf Coast. The only impacts Ida is expected to have is to increase swells in the Gulf and enhance the pressure gradient...resulting in moderate to occasionally strong offshore flow Monday and Tuesday.
