Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
An old frontal boundary will drift north across the waters today as high pressure shifts east across the Mississippi River valley. This will provide isolated showers and thunderstorms this morning and afternoon with a persistent moderate onshore flow through mid week. Hurricane Ike is expected to move into the eastern Gulf around mid week. High swells from this system are expected to begin arriving by Thursday. Also...offshore flow is expected to begin by Wednesday as Ike nears.
