Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A surface low pressure system off the northern Gulf Coast late this afternoon will move inland into the southern Gulf Coast states by Sunday. High pressure will settle into south Texas tonight..then move northeast late Sunday as low pressure develops in the Southern Plains. A weak to moderate onshore flow will persist on Monday and early Tuesday ahead of the next cold front. This front will move into the coastal waters around midday Tuesday with a strong offshore flow developing in its wake. There will also be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday. The offshore flow will weaken on Wednesday as high pressure settles into south Texas.

Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet.
Monday
Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 1 to 3 feet. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Monday Night
Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots diminishing to around 10 knots after midnight. Seas 1 to 3 feet. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms through the night. Areas of fog after midnight.
Tuesday
East winds around 10 knots becoming northeast in the afternoon...then becoming north 20 to 25 knots. Seas 5 to 7 feet. Showers and thunderstorms likely.
Wednesday
North winds around 20 knots diminishing to around 15 knots after midnight. Seas 6 to 8 feet. Chance of showers.
Thursday
North winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Slight chance of showers.
