The Flood Warning continues for
the Brazos river in Richmond
* from late tonight to late Monday night... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0915 am Thursday the stage was 45.6 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise above flood stage overnight with a
continued rise to near 50 feet by Saturday afternoon.
* At 49.8 feet... massive lowland flooding occurs with many homes in Simonton and
Thompsons flooded. There is major flow across the flood plain into Oyster
Creek near Harris Reservoir and the Ramsey unit Prison Farm.

for
Cypress Creek at Katy-Hockley Road
* until Saturday afternoon... or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0845 am Thursday the stage was 159.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.
* Flood stage is 157.3 feet.
* Forecast... the creek is near crest now and is expected to begin a slow fall
overnight.
* At 157.3 feet... minor lowland flooding begins in the vicinity of the gage.
