Synopsis For Baffin Bay To Rio Grande Out 60 Nm-
Synopsis
The development of a surface low pressure area east of Port Mansfield and the approach and eventual passage of a cold front later this evening will maintain occasional strong winds and high seas. The Small Craft Advisory for the offshore waters has been extended until 3 am with seas increasing above 10 feet in some locations. Also a Small Craft Advisory has been posted for the northern portions of the Laguna Madre with strong winds developing due to the tightening pressure gradient in the vicinity of the surface low. Winds shift northwest behind the front with a few hours of strong winds. A line of thunderstorms along the front will affect the northern portions of coastal waters Mainland north of Port Mansfield with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms elsewhere.
