Synopsis... 
the inland northwest will be under the influence of high pressure 
Sunday and Monday. The next low pressure system expected to affect 
the region will arrive late in the day on Tuesday...bringing an 
increase in clouds and locally windy conditions.

Discussion... 
water vapor imagery this morning indicates an upper level trough near 
150w nudging the Pacific Ridge to the east. The visible satellite 
shows that the middle level clouds have dissipated across the 
forecast area except for along the Continental Divide. Expect some 
cumulus to develop over the Idaho Panhandle mountains this 
afternoon but with much less coverage than yesterday. Have 
adjusted sky cover and maximum temperatures slightly to account for current 
trends in satellite and surface observations. Also removed low end 
probability of precipitation from the Panhandle mountains this afternoon and evening as 
easterly downslope flow continues. /Kelch

upper level high pressure will slowly build over the inland 
northwest today and tonight. VFR conditions are likely for all 
terminal sites through 18z Monday. /Ek
