Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio Texas
314 PM CDT Thursday Aug 7 2008

Discussion...
broad ridging aloft will generally dominate the weather pattern
through the forecast period. Mostly sunny skies will enable
temperatures to climb into the upper 90s to around the century
mark each afternoon. Both maximum and min temperatures will be about 3-5
degrees above early to middle August normals...but no new records are
anticipated.

Conditions will remain dry aside from a very slight chance for
rain tomorrow evening across the eastern extreme of the County Warning Area as
weak disturbances slide down the periphery of the ridge. The only
other appreciable chance for rain will enter the picture on Tuesday
as boundary layer moisture may be deep enough to support isolated
sea-breeze activity during the afternoon and early evening hours.
