Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Nashville Tennessee
340 am CDT Sat Oct 11 2008

Short term (sat-Columbus day)...
ridge aloft will keep middle Tennessee dry this Holiday weekend. Ridge will
steer upper low over the Carolina coast west. 00z models continue to
show a weaker system 24-48 hours out. Moisture on the north side likely
to generate daytime cumulus but still partly sunny days and partly
cloudy nights.

Middle Tennessee by the way surface systems and expect pressure gradient to keep overnight low
temperatures up a tad over MOS. Could be a few sprinkles south near the Alabama
border late Monday but will leave out for now.

Long term (tue-fri)...
next chance of rain starts Tuesday with frontal system. Not an impressive
system but it could generate a line or scattered storms Wednesday. Dry Thursday-
Friday with temperatures near normal.
