NWS Forecaster Discussion
092 fxus64 ktsa 060258 afdtsa Area forecast discussion National Weather Service Tulsa OK 858 PM CST Monday Jan 5 2009 Discussion... bulk of precipitation has shifted well east of the forecast area this evening...but will need to keep an eye on possible redevelopment through the overnight hours. 00z NAM shows decent upglide along the 290k surface (along with low condensation pressure deficits) through around 09z...and develops some light precipitation from parts of southeast OK and eventually into far northwestern Arkansas. Latest radar imagery also showing echoes rapidly developing across NE OK. Plan on adding low probability of precipitation for NE OK for the overnight hours and keep the remainder of probability of precipitation about the same. Current temperatures are hovering right at 32f...and may rise a degree or two later tonight...so will generally go with a -ra/-fzra mix. Not anticipating any significant icing amounts...but will keep a close eye on the trends. && Tsa watches/warnings/advisories... OK...none. Arkansas...none. && $$ Short term...18
