Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Norman OK
1115 PM CST Monday Jan 5 2009

Aviation...a warm front extending from northwest to southeast will be
overtaken by a Pacific cold front moving west to east. The thermal
profile in the narrow zone between the two favors some mixing down
of greater wind speeds for a few hours this morning. Meanwhile...
NAM relative humidity forecasts still support light fog and stratus by morning...
persisting into the day at pnc-okc-oun. A few hours of IFR
ceilings are expected. The front will bring drier air and improving
ceilings by midday.

Previous discussion... /issued 931 PM CST Monday Jan 5 2009/

Discussion...
will add mention of fog to central and eastern zones as weak
moisture advection occurs with return to southerly flow. Should
not be too dense with cloud cover and quality of return. Some low
spots across southeast zones could see some dense fog...but
shouldn't be widespread. Did lower mins a bit over portions of
west-central and southwest Oklahoma/North Texas where some
clearing and lighter winds will be seen.
