Discussion... 
secondary middle level wave and associated surface front will move through 
the area today... only minimal impact expected with this. Otherwise 
for today... outside of southeast OK where low probability of precipitation may be needed this 
morning... plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures on tap. Warm up 
begins in earnest on Wednesday as downslope in Lee of rockies works out 
into the plains. This warming will continue into Thursday even as a weak 
back-door front tries to push SW through the area early in the day... 
but washes out by afternoon as pressure falls in High Plains pull winds back 
around to the south. 


Next system drops into the west early Friday before kicking east. As 
this occurs another Canadian cold front will push quickly south 
through the plains and into OK by late Friday afternoon. Out ahead of this 
front... very warm... windy and somewhat dry conditions will 
exist... raising fire weather concerns. Strong north winds will then 
overtake the area behind the front Friday night as strong cold air advection puts 
another end to much above normal temperatures for the weekend. However this 
upcoming front does not appear to be quite a cold as this last one 
was... as temperatures should rise back above normal by sun into early next 
week. This front will struggle to produce any precipitation in the area as 
the better moisture again remains just to our south and east. So 
another week of dry weather expected at this time.
