Synopsis... 
a ridge of high pressure will remain over the eastern Great Lakes 
through the weekend. 


&& 


Near term /until 6 am Saturday morning/... 
forecast question of the period is how cold will it get tonight. 
With high pressure centered over the Great Lakes it will be a 
clear night and expect winds to decouple after sunset. For 
overnight lows went a below MOS for overnight lows. See no good 
reason why tonight will be much warmer than last night. So trended 
toward this mornings lows.

Short term /6 am Saturday morning through Monday/... 
models in agreement. High now centered over the Great Lakes 
forecast to drift to the middle Atlantic coast and stall by Sunday. 
Ridge will extend east across the Lowe lakes through Monday. Expect 
weekend to be sunny with some cirrus spilling into the area Monday.

Long term /Monday night through Friday/... 
models continue to indicate that the upper level low over The 
Rockies will move toward Northern Ohio for the middle of next week. 
However there is much uncertainty in the timing with the GFS 
bringing the front in on Tuesday and the European model (ecmwf) front arriving on 
Wednesday into Thursday. Will carry chance probability of precipitation for Tuesday through 
Wednesday night. The trough will linger over the area into Friday 
with additional slight chances of rain continuing. 


Temperatures will remain near seasonal averages.

Aviation /19z Friday through Wednesday/... 
surface high pressure will gradually slide eastward through 
Saturday with winds sliding from east to southeast through the 
afternoon. Winds will be off the lake at Erie and could move into 
the cle terminal for a brief period this afternoon and again 
Saturday afternoon. Otherwise expect VFR conditions with some 
patchy ground for near sunrise. 


Outlook...high pressure will remain to the east of the region with 
southerly winds persisting. Fog during the early morning hours is 
the only threat for non VFR weather over the next several days. 
Next chance of rain appears to be Tuesday when a cold front will 
move across the area.

Marine... 
high pressure over the lake will shift just to the NE overnight 
allowing a weak easterly flow to develop on the lake. Winds will 
remain below 15 knots. This high will move to the middle Atlantic 
coast over the weekend which will allow southerly winds to develop 
which will then persist into Tuesday. A cold front still on track 
to move east across the lake late Tuesday into Tuesday night. The 
next chance of precipitation on the lake will come with this front. 
Westerly winds expected behind the front. Winds will remain less 
than 15 knots the entire period so no headlines anticipated.
