Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Paducah Kentucky
252 am CDT sun Sep 7 2008

Discussion...
weak high pressure should keep conditions essentially dry today
through Monday. The scattered light showers moving along the
Interstate 64 corridor will continue off to the east. Broad long
wave trough over the Continental U.S. Will likely result in clouds from time
to time across the forecast area. Monday evening a cold front should be just
northwest of the area. It is forecast to push south across the
region Monday night into into Tuesday...so will continue with our
low chance probability of precipitation for showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms. Dry
middle week weather will be replaced by unsettled conditions late in
the week as high pressure over the NE U.S. Moves away and return
flow sets up.

&&

Aviation...
anticipated scattered-broken low VFR deck coming in on a little upper wave
energy has reached cgi and is imminent upon remainder of taf sites
in next couple hours. Temporary breaks may allow for some fog
development...likely most restrictive to visibilities at cgi. The
aforementioned deck could/should scatter out tomorrow especially PM hours
in light westerly-northwesterly flow regime as causative wave moves downstream.
