Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Duluth Minnesota
1011 am CDT sun Sep 7 2008

Discussion...
an area of was moving through our far eastern zones...into The
Arrowhead and northwest Wisconsin. This occurring ahead of a cold
front and shortwave.

We have updated grids this morning to account for the lack of rain
in our western zones...and to drop the fog.

Cyclonic flow aloft...with a cold pocket of 500mb temperatures of -20 to
-24c should be enough to create more showers/storms this
afternoon. We did not change probability of precipitation much this afternoon...but did up
the sky cover. A few of the storms will be capable of producing
hail this afternoon...with freezing levels quite low.

Temperatures are on track...and did not change them for today.
