Area forecast discussion
National Weather Service Shreveport la
1055 am CDT sun Sep 7 2008

Discussion...
10 am temperatures in the middle 70s will warm to around upper 80s under mostly
sunny skies..and dewpoints in middle to upper 60s. Winds
light...mainly from southeast. No update needed./Vii/

&&

Aviation...
VFR conditions are expected through much of the taf
period...although generally Erly low level winds today will become
southeast this evening/tonight...resulting in a low level moisture increase
over East Texas/north la. Could even see a scattered cumulus field develop this afternoon
over north central la/East Texas generally S of I-20...before flow becomes southeast and
low level moisture return commences. Thus...MVFR ceilings /020-030ft/
will develop/spread north...affecting the East Texas terminals and possibly northwest
la between 09-12z...could even see some patchy fog once again across
NE la after 5z given the wet grounds/light winds. Look for the MVFR
ceilings to gradually lift and become VFR by middle/late morning...with scattered
cumulus field developing areawide by midday. Erly winds of 5-10kts today
will become southeast around 5kts tonight...except lt/vrb farther east across
scntrl Arkansas/north central la. /15/
