Previous discussion... /issued 845 PM CST Monday Jan 5 2009/

Discussion...
main area of rain pushing east to southeast along i30 to i40 and
will be mainly over southern areas this evening into the early
overnight. Some isolated freezing precipitation around Little Rock area and
to the northeast...but precipitation area moving out of this area. Models
still showing additional energy to lift over Arkansas overnight...mainly
focused over southern Arkansas. Temperatures expected to stay above freezing over
southern areas...while around freezing central locations...upper 20s
to 30 over northern areas. Will fine tune probability of precipitation and types with late
evening update. Still considering a Winter Weather Advisory along
northern edge of precipitation area and parts of central to northern Arkansas
late evening and the overnight. Expecting overall pop to be slight
over northern Arkansas...while chance central...to likely over southern
areas. Will keep Flash Flood Watch going over southern areas...
expecting isolated areas receiving 1 to 2 inches. (59)
