The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for light freezing rain or freezing drizzle...
over parts of central and northern Arkansas... which is in effect
until 8 am CST Tuesday.
There will be a chance of scattered patches of light freezing
rain or freezing drizzle over parts central and north Arkansas
tonight. Light rain is expected tonight... and with temperatures
remaining near freezing over the area... the rain may mix or become
light freezing rain or freezing drizzle. Little to no significant
accumulations are expected. However... any freezing precipitation
will affect exposed surfaces such as bridges... overpasses...
elevated or low traveled roads. Temperatures Tuesday morning are
expected to warm above freezing in the morning.

A slight chance of freezing precipitation will continue across parts of northern and central Arkansas through the early morning hours. LIFR conditions will continue over most of the sites through the morning...with MVFR to VFR conditions during the afternoon hours. && Previous discussion... /issued 845 PM CST Monday Jan 5 2009/ Discussion... main area of rain pushing east to southeast along i30 to i40 and will be mainly over southern areas this evening into the early overnight. Some isolated freezing precipitation around Little Rock area and to the northeast...but precipitation area moving out of this area. Models still showing additional energy to lift over Arkansas overnight...mainly focused over southern Arkansas.
